What does your role at SSi encompass and in what circumstance would someone come to you?
My role encompasses anything mechanical to do with our units. That includes design, failure analysis, quality control, and continuous improvement. People can come to me for any questions about how the unit operates, why something is designed the way that it is, or to suggest improvements.
What is your favorite local restaurant?
Sushi Hiro downtown has a great atmosphere and is priced well enough to visit frequently!
What is your go-to productivity trick?
Listening to instrumental rock is great for staying focused without being distracted by vocals. Joe Satriani and Polyphia are some of my go-tos.
What is your most loved place in the world and why?
Bluefin Sushi in Cape Cod is my Favourite restaurant in my Favourite vacation destination. My family has been going annually since I was a kid.
What is one thing (other than your smartphone) that you can’t leave your house without?
Headphones are always a must have.
What is the first concert you ever went to?
One OK Rock’s Premonition world tour at the Coca Cola Coliseum in Toronto

“I, Robot” by Isaac Asimov
What is your favorite sport to watch?
Motorsport is the only sport I keep up with. Rally racing is the best.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Someone told me I should be an engineer because of how much I liked Lego, and I just stuck to that.
If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?
“I don’t know anything and neither do you” – I haven’t been out of school long enough to have much to write about, but I do know that everyone I’ve talked to says the same thing; That you never actually know what’s going on, you just get better at pretending you do.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Language learning. You’d think I’d be good at studying by now, but alas.
What is your hometown and where do you currently live?
I grew up in the GTA but moved to Calgary in 2025
What do you enjoy most about working at SSi?
Working with a group of people that are always happy to lend a hand or input their ideas for solving a problem.
