Mike has been part of the SSi Team for nearly 5 years! He enjoys fishing, travelling, and was born and raised in Calgary, AB. Mike’s team describes him as tenacious in his approach to everything he does, says that he has a great sense of humour and that he’s a pleasure to work with.

We asked Mike a few questions to get to know him more personally, and here is what he had to say:

What is your role at SSi Artificial Lift?

My role at SSi as Supply Chain Coordinator is to take care of the inventory requirements for the production of all SSi products. This includes making sure that they get to the end site for installation.  From purchasing material to the final delivery, I’m involved during the entire process.

In what circumstance would I come to you at work?

Anything related to inventory, purchasing, shipping, logistics, and customs. You could also ask me to safely hop on a forklift to unload a truck as ‘being nimble’ is one of our Core Values.

What is one professional skill you’re currently working on?

It’s more of an amalgamation of skills. I am actively working towards my Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation.

What is your favourite local restaurant?

There are many good ones to choose from, but Spolumbo’s will always be a favourite local spot.

What is a skill that not many people know you possess?

I do custom leather-work in my not-so-abundant spare time and that’s a constantly evolving skill set.

What is your favourite sports team to watch?

The Calgary Stampeders! I can’t wait for the CFL to fire back up!

What do you enjoy most about working at SSi Artificial Lift?

I enjoy the culture of open and strong communication.

Personally, I really appreciate the commitment to education and continued learning. I think that keeping your brain and skills sharp is necessary to a fulfilling personal and professional life.
