Silvia is new to the SSi Team and has been with us for just over 1 month. She enjoys travelling, spending time with her family, and helping people. Silvia has been a great addition to the team and her peers describe her as friendly, hard-working, and a great team player.

We asked Silvia a few questions to get to know her more personally, and here is what she had to say:

What does your role encompass at SSi Artificial Lift?

My role at SSi is processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. I also assist with month end processes and follow up on outstanding invoices.

How do you prefer to start your day?

I start my day alone with a cup of coffee in a quiet place.

What is your happy place?

Any nice beach with sunny weather.

Where is your favourite place in the world and why?

My favorite place in the world is the house that I grew up in. This is the place that reminds who I am, where I come from, and gives me energy.

What scares you?

The idea of being alone scares me the most. I love to see people, to talk to them, and to learn about the way they think.

Do you have a personal motto or mantra?

My personal motto is “never give up”. This makes me want to reach my goals.

What is one thing that makes you lose track of time?

Spending time with my kids will make me to lose track of time. I will try to spend time with them as much as I can.

When you were a kid, what profession did you want to have when you were older?

When I was a kid, I wanted the profession of a translator.

What movie best describes your life, and why?

The movie that describes me the most is “Gone with the Wind”. If I have a problem, I always say that tomorrow is another day.

What is your hometown, and where do you currently live?

My home-town is a beautiful village, Loganesti, in Republic of Moldova. I now live in Calgary, AB, and I love this city. I moved to Calgary in 2016, and I cannot imagine living somewhere else.

What do you enjoy most about working at SSi?

At SSi I like the environment and that every day could be different. This makes your day more interesting.
